Why our prices are different

Cheaper studios are cheaper for a reason. The gap shows up in the jewellery, the sterilisation, the time, and eventually in how your piercing heals.

The jewellery alone is worth more
The implant-grade titanium included in every piercing would cost more at a budget studio than they charge for the entire service — because their jewellery isn't implant-grade.

Pharmaceutical-grade sterilisation
Every instrument is autoclaved before use. Our protocols are drawn from clinical medicine — not the minimum required by health compliance. This is a cost we absorb.

Undivided time, every appointment
Appointment-only means you are the only client in the studio. No rush, no waiting, no divided attention. That structure has a real cost — it is reflected in the price.

A downsize is included
Most studios charge separately for the follow-up downsize — or don't offer it at all. It's included here because it's essential for long-term healing.

Yes. Every piercing price includes high-quality implant-grade titanium jewellery. BVLA solid gold — equally safe for fresh piercings — is available at additional cost and selected at your consultation with Thomas.
Because the standard is higher. Pharmaceutical-grade sterilisation, implant-grade materials, appointment-only service, and an included downsize appointment all have real costs. The alternative is cheaper because corners are cut — usually on the jewellery and the protocols.
We only pierce with jewellery we can verify meets implant-grade standards. This ensures biocompatibility, correct sizing, and proper surface finish — all critical for healing. We're happy to guide you through our range to find the right piece.
We don't currently offer payment plans for piercing services. We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash. For larger jewellery investments, speak with us about ordering timelines.
Yes — for new piercings performed at Platinum Point, the downsize appointment at 6–8 weeks is included. The downsize jewellery itself may carry a small charge if we need to fit a specific shorter post, but the appointment and assessment are always included.
