Change it freely. Just tell us.
There is no deposit and no card held, so a booking costs you nothing up front. What it does cost is the room: forty-five minutes with nobody else in it, held for you alone. Tell us a day ahead and that time goes to someone else. Tell us after it has passed and it is simply gone.
Three lines, and that is all of it.
Nothing is taken automatically, because we hold no card. A charge is invoiced, or settled at your next visit.
What a missed appointment costs.
The fee is the price of the appointment, not a penalty on top of it. Book a single piercing and miss it and you are charged for a single piercing. Appointments that cost nothing still cost the room, so those are $40.
Rates in NZD, inclusive of GST. Where an appointment starts from a price, the starting price is the one charged.
Tell us, and come anyway.
Three ways, all of them fine.
A message at two in the morning is read in the morning, and the twenty-four hours count from when you sent it, not from when we read it.
A commission is already being made.
Sixty percent places a special or custom order, and it is credited in full against the piece. Once that order is with the workshop in Los Angeles the piece is being made to your specification and cannot go back into the tray, so the sixty percent stays with the piece rather than being returned. It waits for you as long as you need it to, and nothing is ordered until you have approved an exact quote.
There is no second chair.
A busier studio absorbs a no-show by moving the next person forward. We have one room, one client in it, and forty-five minutes set aside for that person. An appointment nobody arrives for cannot be given away at short notice, and the cost of it does not go anywhere. The fee is not a deterrent so much as the honest price of holding the room.
It is also why cancelling is free right up to the day before. A day is enough for someone on the waitlist to take it, and plenty of people are waiting.
Asked often.
Do I pay a deposit to book?
No. Booking costs nothing and we do not hold a card. You pay on the day, for what you actually have done.
How much notice do you need to cancel?
Twenty-four hours. More than a day before your appointment you can change or cancel as often as you like, free. Inside twenty-four hours there is a $40 charge.
What happens if I do not turn up?
A missed appointment is charged at the price of the appointment you booked, because the room was held for you and nobody else could use it. For appointments that cost nothing, like the Gold Viewing, it is $40.
What if I am running late?
Tell us and come anyway. We hold the room for fifteen minutes and will do what we can with the time that is left. If there is not enough time to do the work properly we will rebook you, and that counts as a change inside twenty-four hours.
What if I am unwell, or something happens?
Tell us. Coming in unwell is worse for your healing than moving the appointment, and we would always rather you rebooked. Nobody has ever been charged for being honest about a bad week.
How do I change an appointment?
Reply to your confirmation email, or call or text 09 949 0940. A message at two in the morning is fine; it is read in the morning and the time still counts from when you sent it.
