A jewellery change appointment is a standalone service. There's no new piercing — you bring healed piercings, we fit BVLA. It's the simplest way into the collection if you've been pierced before, anywhere, and you're ready for something better than what's currently in your ear.
It works regardless of origin. A starter post from a high-street studio. A piece you bought overseas. A piercing done with us years ago. If the channel is healed and the gauge is right, we can fit gold to it.
The clinical care is the same as a fresh piercing. We assess the piercing first — checking it's settled and ready — then select the right gauge and length, fit the piece, and check the seat before you leave. Nothing is rushed.

Do I need to have been pierced at Platinum Point to get a jewellery change?
No. If your piercing is fully healed, we can fit BVLA jewellery regardless of where it was originally done. We assess the current jewellery and the condition of the piercing before proceeding.
How do I know if my piercing is healed enough for a jewellery change?
A fully healed piercing shows no tenderness, no discharge, and moves freely without soreness. Lobes are typically healed at 3–4 months; cartilage at 9–12 months. If you're unsure, mention it when booking and we'll assess at the appointment.
How long does a jewellery change appointment take?
A jewellery change appointment typically takes 20–40 minutes, depending on the number of piercings and the jewellery being fitted. We never rush — each piece is fitted carefully and checked before you leave.
What jewellery can I upgrade to?
